Plastique Collage Tote Bag

Play with a surprisingly abundant art material-- discarded plastic! We will experiment and play with collage using shopping bags, tablecloths, and other plastic that comes and goes through our lives. Design a collage or patchwork of small collages and make a usable tote bag that looks beautiful and takes a little load off the planet.
Three-hour workshops can be scheduled for groups of 3 or more. Contact me to find a time that's good for you and friends!
We will spend the first section looking at examples and playing with plastics to get an idea of their unique design potential, then spend time making either one large collage or several small ones. The last piece will be assembling the tote bag by sewing machine and adding the handles. If you do not have experience on a sewing machine, you'll get some! I will be right beside you to help. This is an intro sewing project
No sewing experience necessary.
